This is a beautifully constructed grill made from heavy duty materials. I found it to be very elegant looking. Assembly was easy as all the major components are already assembled so it is just a matter of attaching the sub-assemblies. The fitted cover is heavy duty and superb.
I was disappointed with the performance, however. Despite having a smaller grill surface and lower hood than my old, cheap, Fiesta grill, which should equate to higher temperatures, the cooking times were longer on the Minden. Also the grill had very uneven temperatures. Three hamburgers, placed in a line, front to back, would all cook differently.
I live in Nevada and had wanted to support a local company. I called them and they said they'd inspect it to check whether or not it was operating properly. They did and said it was. I told them I was not happy with its performance and they arranged a full refund. So customer service is excellent.
I also did not like that there was practically no vertical lip at the back of the grill to back-stop hamburgers if you try to pick them up with a spatula (and need to slide them into something) and the control knobs do not have clock face hash marks to line up against to indicate amount of heat, rather an expanding arrow making it difficult to finely adjust the heat settings.
I would recommend getting one from a dealer with a liberal return policy but understand that it will be difficult to re-pack to return it if you have it shipped to you.

First the good stuff. The grill is hot and cooks well, but be aware of some shortcomings. The flavor bars are cut too short and they fall of their resting place very easily. One shelf attachment screw pulled right through and some are rusting after a few weeks.

The grill is fantastic. Great value. It is not a large grill, but every inch of this grill is crafted to make it useful... which means it acts like a grill that takes up more space. It gets very hot, and stays very hot. It took 30 minutes to put together - a fact that made several friends cry after losing a weekend of their lives putting together other grills. I have also purchased the side burner and pizza stone, which are nice additions. The customizable surfaces are awesome, ESPECIALLY the dishwasher safe cutting board surface.
My only complaint is that it did come dented - but both amazon and the company made up for it. If the grill had been damaged more, it would probably turned into a horrible experience, as things turned out, I am VERY happy.

This is a very good bare bones grill. It is compact and doesn't take a lot of room. This was important to me as I have a small patio. I didn'twant one of those monstrosities with the side burners you never use. This is all they seem to carry at the major stores. It was easy to assemble (less than 1/2 hour). It works perfectly and cooks just right. I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend this product to anyone needing a compact, no frills grill for a reasonable price. Also from what I understand and for what it's worth, Minden is owened by Char Broil.

I've been using this grill for a couple of months. My first surprise was just how easily and quickly I assembled the grill - less than an hour from receiving to firing up. (I remember my last grill was less than a day). I use the grill two or three times a week and it has worked flawlessly every time. This grill doesn't take up too much space, has all the basics and looks good.
