Each burner has its own temperature gauge located above the control knob and working at grate level for a true reading of the heat about to sear you steak or whatever you may be grilling. The Quantum Infrared design also allows you to add wood chips directly on to the cooking grates for added flavor and no flare up. This four-burner grill is highly efficient due to the unique patented infrared grates and thus needs just three burners and 42,000 BTUs to get the job done. The SS M580 Quantum Infrared and its 580 square inches of primary cooking area, 200 square inches of secondary cooking area provide more than enough space for most any gathering and to make sure you don't come up short on fuel it also has a digital tank scale to let you know how much propane you have left. Just in case you are wrapping up your grilling after it is dark, the SS M580 Quantum also features halogen lights mounted in the lid to help you see your food. The new "Surefire" electronic ignition, flush mounted side burner, and a combination of stainless steel and painted steel appliance style cart construction, further separate this grill as a unique value to the marketplace. Bought this grill about a year ago. We live in Florida. While the grill works flawlessly, the chrome parts quickly corroded within less than one year. If you live in a humid envirnment, stay away from this grill - replacement parts cost almost $200 and who knows how long those will last. If you live in a dry desert or keep the grill inside your garage, you should be OK.

I got this grill yesterday. As usual from Amazon the shipping and delivery was flawless. The grill arrived in a HUGE box and the delivery folks brought it right into the house and left it where I asked them to. A careful unpacking of the box took a smidge over half an hour since I prefer to ID the parts and categorize them as I go. Assembly instructions were clear and unambiguous with pretty decent pictures to guide you through. Two tips as you assemble the grill: make sure to bring the burner ignition wires down on the right side as you go to avoid having to partially disassemble to get them towards the end of the process; pull the tank level indicator wire up from the bottom when installing the casters to avoid having to lift the whole unit at the end to find it. These are small things that didn't adversely affect the over all assembly, just a couple pesky things left out of the instructions. Also make sure to lose no washers, lock washers etc. because you get the exact number needed. :D
This was a gift for a friend, so I'll have to wait to see how his grilling experience is. I do know that we put it on his porch and lit it up and he grilled some dinner that night and was thrilled with it.
My total assembly time was 3 hours and 5 minutes, but I am a bit meticulous about these things.
